With just one area of focus we can concentrate on helping the sinus patient.

Sometimes chronic sinus patients are misunderstood by friends and family.  We understand that it can be very frustrating when you do everything you can, but still aren’t getting better. We understand that and the emotional toll that can take on a patient.

One out of 10 patients never get better because they have structural issues that need to be addressed before they can get better.

When I counsel a patient I always give them three choices and there will always be three choices.

  1. Number one you don’t have to do anything you can live with sinus problems.  You have and you can still do it.
  2. You can continue trying to find a relief with medicine.  You can’t take antibiotics and prednisone tablets forever, they have serious side effects, but you can search and try many many different medical remedies.
  3. And surgeries is an option that’s gone over along with those other two.  I never try to recommend to a patient what they should do.  I try to give them the information that they can make their own decision.

Staying up to date on technology with technology is mandatory, so I’m in contact with many experts across the country, yet some of my best learning and expertise comes from my patients.

I came to Idaho in 1995 and learned from a sinus innovator Dr. Setliff in Twin Falls, Idaho.  I found with new technology and techniques, a sinus patient could be helped better than I had found in my training.

Do as much as you can to avoid allergens, and then consider desensitization with immunotherapy.

Did you know 90% of people benefit from immunotherapy– desensitization of allergens within 6-9months?
